This will be my second post about SAHS Anniversary and Homecoming 2010. You can view the first part of this series here: A Blast! Perteng Alegreha! By the way, I'm using Alum to refer to both alumna and alumnus.:)
On June 11, 2010, the streets of Anahawan turned into long spreads of red carpet for all the alumni who seemed like stars shining brightly not even the rays of the mighty sun could overwhelm. The entire Anahawan was
watching and cameras were shuttering and flashing in almost every street corner of the town. You look ahead and some talented camera men and women were in position to take pictures of you. You look to your side and there’s your batch mate with handy digicam ready to steal a fun picture of you and your whole batch. You look up and there they are setting their cameras up in the roof. From cell phone cams to highly sophisticated cameras, almost every gadget with the capability of taking pictures or videos was stressed out to save a piece of this historic event in town.
Every house would open up their doors and windows for some curious kids to peek through or for some vacationers to watch or take pictures or videos. Transportation slowed down, even halting at some points, yet no one ever complained of traffic. Townsfolk positioned themselves comfortably before the parade could pass through their places in order to get a better view. Sari-sari store buyers and sellers momentarily stopped their businesses to gaze at the columns of smiling stars.
Pictures related to this post are found in my album called shooting the shooters and gazing at the gazers. Watch out for the 3rd part of this series, a vista of inspirations, soon.
